FAQ
What is Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)?
The Community Supported Agriculture model creates a mutually beneficial, direct relationship between the farmer and the consumers, who are member-shareholders. The member-shareholders pre-purchase a "share" of the produce the farmer plans to grow in a single season, just like buying shares in a company. This purchase provides the farmer with the capital necessary to purchase seeds and supplies, and cover operating costs. In return, the farmer provides each member with extremely fresh, local food. The CSA model allows for refreshing transparency in the production of food and tends to encourage organic and sustainable farming practices. BACK
